slow ◆ sustainable ◆ solid
Our Approach
All of our pieces are made using solid, 100% recycled and fair-mined 14k gold, reclaimed diamonds and ethically sourced, mine-to-market gemstones. We work with a small network of wholesale partners who share our commitment to moving ethically through the fine jewelry space. This includes vendors who have direct relationships with their mines, who employ environmentally conscious practices and who ensure that anyone working within this network is paid a fair and livable wage and works in safe conditions.
Our Process
Our pieces are thoughtfully crafted and made slowly, with intention. BRUCE is a small scale operation, local to New York City and each piece is handmade by our designer, Laura Powers, our bench jeweler or our trusted longtime production partner in NYC’s diamond district. Each piece passes through Laura’s hands before being sent to you to ensure we always meet a high level of craftsmanship.
While keeping things small means longer lead times, it also ensures that we create only what’s needed - minimizing waste, overproduction and excess inventory. Our small studio allows transparency and control at every stage of production, from sourcing and supply chain to finishing and shipping. It means less shipping between suppliers, fewer materials wasted in trial and error and a more intentional use of resources and energy. Sustainability isn’t just about materials, it’s about pace, longevity over volume and creating pieces meant to be worn for life.
